1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Maye website and services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the Service.

2. About Our Service

Maye is a purchasing and gifting service. Customers pay in Naira through local payment methods to buy products from US retailers — including Amazon, Walmart, Costco and Target — and we purchase those items on the customer's behalf and have them delivered as gifts, directly to a recipient's address in the United States.

All deliveries are USA to USA. We do not import goods into Nigeria, do not act as a freight forwarder, and do not offer consolidation or local Nigerian delivery. You place and pay for the order from wherever you are; the goods move only within the United States.

Maye is not the manufacturer or original seller of the products listed. Product information (descriptions, images, pricing) is sourced from partner retailers and may change at those retailers' discretion. We purchase from the retailer as your agent and arrange delivery to the recipient address you provide.

3. Accounts & Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old, or use the Service under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate order and contact information, including the recipient's US delivery address and phone number.
• You confirm that you are authorised to have goods sent to the recipient address you supply, and that the recipient is able to receive the delivery.

4. Orders, Pricing & Payment

• Pricing. Prices are quoted in Nigerian Naira (₦) and include the product cost, our service fee, and delivery to the recipient's US address. Any applicable taxes charged by the retailer are included in the quoted total unless stated otherwise at checkout.
• Currency & exchange rates. Because goods are bought from US retailers in US dollars, the Naira price can shift between the time you place your order and the time we complete the purchase. If the difference is material, we will contact you before proceeding, and you may cancel for a full refund.
• Payment. Payment is required before we place an order with the retailer. We accept payment in Naira through supported local payment methods (card and bank transfer). No payment is charged to a foreign card on your side.
• Order acceptance. All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including where the item has become unavailable or mispriced at the retailer, and to refund any amount already paid.

5. Delivery Timelines

Delivery is made to the recipient's address within the United States. Estimated timelines are provided as guidance only and are not guarantees:

• Purchase at the retailer: same or next business day after payment confirmation.
• Retailer dispatch: 1–3 business days, depending on the item and seller.
• US delivery: typically 2–5 business days after dispatch.

In practice most orders arrive within 4–10 business days of payment confirmation. Timelines begin from the date your payment is confirmed and depend on factors outside our reasonable control, including retailer processing, carrier schedules, weather, and peak-season volumes.

6. Gifting & Order Restrictions

Orders are fulfilled as gifts. At checkout you may include a gift message, which we pass on to the retailer where gifting options are supported. Recipients may therefore receive the parcel without an invoice or price information.

We can only source items that US retailers ship to addresses within the United States. We will not purchase anything that:

• the retailer will not ship to a US delivery address, or that is restricted by the retailer's own terms;
• is prohibited by applicable law, including certain hazardous materials, weapons, ammunition, and recalled goods;
• requires an age or licence verification we cannot satisfy at the recipient's address.

If your request falls into one of these categories, we will tell you early and refund anything already paid.

7. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

• Cancellations. Cancellation is free before we purchase the item from the retailer. Once the item has been purchased, cancellation depends on the retailer's own policy and may not be possible.
• Damaged, faulty or incorrect items. Report any damage, fault or discrepancy within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs where possible. Valid claims will be refunded or replaced.
• Change of mind. Because items are purchased per order and shipped directly to your recipient, change-of-mind returns are not automatically accepted. Contact us and we will do our best where the retailer's policy allows.
• Refund method. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

8. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to order prohibited goods;
• Interfere with, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service;
• Place orders fraudulently, abuse promotions, or act in a way that harms other users or our operations.

9. Intellectual Property

The Maye name, logo, and original content on this site belong to us. Product names, images, and brands displayed remain the property of their respective owners and are shown for identification purposes only.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maye's total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the Service or an order shall not exceed the amount you paid for the order in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including losses caused by delays beyond our reasonable control.

11. Privacy

We collect and process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service you consent to such processing.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria shall have jurisdiction over any disputes arising from them.
